Today’s Outfit-Falling for Fall

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today Ryon and I both had a very productive morning. It was Nelly’s first trip to the vet! We woke up at 8:45AM (super early for us as we both work in the restaurant industry) and walked her to the vet which was about a 45 minute walk. Luckily we live a walkable distance to so many vets since we don’t have a car! Everything went well, the veterinary said she’s very healthy. She had two shots, one for rabies and a booster shot. She didn’t notice the vet do any of them! However now, she seems to be very tired. On the way home we stopped at Starbucks (I hadn’t had my morning coffee yet) and then continued walking home in the lovely weather we’ve been having.

I know some of  you are probably going to kill me for talking about fall but, in reality, the sun is setting earlier and the mornings are becoming chilly. And, I’m not going to lie, I am SO excited for fall fashion. I thought this chilly morning was the perfect opportunity to wear my new jacket. This jacket was an amazing deal from Topshop. I’ve had my eye on it for a couple of months just waiting for it to go on sale. When I saw that I would save 70$ I thought to myself of course I’m going to get it. When I went to pay, the lady said that it was actually 60$! I saved 100$. I was SO happy. When I got home to observe it some more, I suddenly realized that it was petite! Oops. Before noticing I did realize that the tie at the waist was unusually high on my ribcage. Oh well, it doesn’t bother me. I probably won’t ever be doing the jacket up anyways. This jacket is a very light material, it’s more of an overcoat rather than a coat to keep you warm. Personally I really like the color (a staple color in fall wardrobes) and the way it falls. Underneath my jacket I am wearing a simple white blouse also from Topshop. I think simple white shirts are important to have in your wardrobe because they’re easy to wear and they go with everything. I like the button detail on this one. The deep V is also a nice touch for you can wear a nice bralette or cami underneath. I like the fact that the sleeves fall just at the elbow and are flowy. There’s no awkward tightness forcing you to have to keep pulling them down.  My jeans are the Levi’s Mile High Super Skinny and I would highly recommend them. When I need a new pair of jeans I know I will be getting Levi’s. The price is right and the quality is amazing. I still wear my Levi’s from 6 years ago, 6! Lastly my boots are from Spring. Who doesn’t like little black booties for fall?

  • I absolutely adore this outfit! Especially that flowy blouse. It’s such a uniquetouch on a classic piece! And I completely agree, green is definitely a staple for every fall wardrobe. I used to never wear green, but this year I’ve really been loving the color. Great post, lovely! 🙂

    • Thank you Kimberly 🙂 They also have the blouse in a peachy pink and a pale blue I believe. I’m considering going back for them! It’s so easy to wear!

  • That jacket tho! Looks great 🙂
