I think we have all suffered many, many years when it comes to the evolution of jeans. In high school low rise jeans were a thing. My but crack peeking out of my jeans while sitting down was a norm. Next it was the super skinny, after sitting through a class I realized that I’d lost feeling in my legs. Then it was high rise jeans which in all honesty not too bad, but after a long day I’d take off my jeans and have marks down the side of my legs from my jeans being too tight. And at last, the mom jean where it feels like I’m just wearing pants? My legs have room to move and they are easy to live in.
After three months of not posting I thought I would start back easy with an outfit post. Originally I would have loved to take a photo outside or even against a cool grafetti wall but the Montreal weather doesn’t seem to be on my side these days with the endless light rain.
Mom Jeans from ZARA:
I know, I know, another outfit post with ZARA clothes in it you say. I just love ZARA so much. I can always find what I’m looking for, I think it’s because they have a great mix of basics and trend pieces. A couple of years back I had bought jeans from ZARA and was not impressed by the quality and fit. I dunno if they changed their jean formula (is that a thing?) but in all honestly I love themmm. They don’t fall down, stretch after wearing them too much or become a completely different size after you wash them. They look baggy around the knee but I have oddly small knees compared to the rest of my legs and the bagginess just adds to the mom jean effect!
Off the shoulder Top from ZARA:
I’ve always stayed away from the off the shoulder trend because my shoulders are quite wide. BUT, I found this one from ZARA and think it looks okay!? I think it’s because it’s tight and not flowy so it doesn’t hang off me. I love the ruffle detail of the material at all the ends, it adds a nice feminine touch. To me this shirt screams ‘South of France’ so can’t wait to wear it there!
Sneakers from Betsey Johnson (linked below):
Like I mentioned in my last capsule wardrobe post, I wanted plain white sneakers for spring because they’ll go with everything. I found these ones at Winners so I saved lots of money! I like how the batting eyelash adds quirkiness to any outfit yet can still go with anything. I’ve been wearing these non stop and plan on trekking through Europe with them!
As many of you know already I’ll be travelling to France, Italy & Greece for 5 weeks and I’ve been doing some shopping here and there for my trip. I’ve been planning what to pack and I have many tips that could help YOU on your future trip (coming soon). Comment down below what you’d like to see more of before I leave! Maybe another video?
