Good afternoon everybody! Hope you’re having a lovely day! Every so often Ryon and I like to treat ourselves. On Monday night we both had the night off and decided to do something special. We weren’t completely sure what restaurant we were going to go to but we knew we were heading to Griffintown Montreal. We ended up settling on Grinder and had good food and amazing company 🙂
What I wore…
It was quite a hot day on Monday. At first I had on a thick midi length dress but decided that wasn’t going to work with the humid weather and my lack of shoe selection (I hate shoe shopping). I settled on this very light dress from Topshop which I purchased last Fall. Honestly, I completely forgot I even had it, so thank god for moving! This dress was very comfortable the whole night and I never got too hot. The sandals I’m wearing are from Boathouse I believe, I got them whilst in Ottawa. I really like them because they’re easy to pair with anything and I love the rose gold strap 🙂
While on our way…
While on our way to Notre-Dame Street we stumbled upon this beautiful church. I really like the colour of the doors mixed with the old bricks. It was around 8 o’clock when I took these pictures. The sun was slowly setting and the clouds in the sky looked really cool!
The atmosphere…The atmosphere in Grinder was amazing. The terrasse out front where we sat was surrounded by greenery and small white flowers. The wooden tables were very industrial looking and had pale muted green chairs to go with them. If I had a restaurant I would want it designed exactly like this! The whole restaurant was dimmed lightly with small candles on each table. To drink I got a Pimm’s cup which was very nice, and Ryon got a Johnny Walker.
What we ate…We started off with an appetizer of calamari which was quite scrumptious. For our main meals Ryon go the lamb and I got the salmon. We also got a side baked potato and rapini. Everything was SO delicious. I can’t wait to go back!
